A multi-department group of Bucknell College school and workers are teaming up with neighborhood members for a dialogue about rising youngsters’s engagement with nature at dwelling, at school, and locally. The free occasion is designed to deliver native educators, college board members, and members of the neighborhood collectively to current their concepts.
The assembly will happen on Saturday, February 29, from 10 a.m. to three p.m. within the Elaine Langone Middle’s Terrace Room at Bucknell. Though the occasion is free and open to the general public, registration is required to attend. Refreshments and lunch can be offered.
Susan Chlebowski, an authorized Montessori trainer who research and teaches research-based fashions of residing and studying that honor a toddler’s proper to expertise nature as a part of a wholesome, completely happy childhood, will ship the keynote tackle.
Chlebowski served as director/head trainer at two nature-based preschools, is receiving her certification as a Forest College Chief, and has studied nature faculties in Denmark and Scotland. She is an everyday visitor lecturer on child-led nature pedagogy and serves on a nature playground design staff. Her most up-to-date focus is connecting youngsters to the outside with fairness and inclusion.
