ORANGEBURG, S.C. — Preparations are underway at South Carolina State College for Founders’ Day.
This weekend is a celebration of SC State College’s 124 years of service to the neighborhood.
Based in 1896 because the state’s sole public school for African American youth, SC State has performed a key position within the schooling of scholars from South Carolina and afar.
This yr’s theme is: “Celebrating Our Legacy, Embracing our future.” All through the weekend, speeches will probably be given and festivities will probably be held to honor the college’s previous and in addition to stay up for a brighter tomorrow.

The Thomas E. Miller Society is the college’s largest giving society. The group consists of members who every give cumulative philanthropic presents that complete a minimum of $100,000, and are dedicated to serving SC State College.
