Activists launch petition to rename high school after slain civil rights education advocate Sadie Roberts-Joseph


BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA/WGMB) — Sadie Roberts-Joseph  was group activist and founding father of the Odell S. Williams Now & Then Museum of African-American Historical past. Roberts-Joseph was all about educating others and ensuring all individuals, irrespective of their race had entry to the museum.

Rev. Alexis Anderson is requesting to rename Lee Excessive College, which was named after Accomplice Normal Robert E Lee; after her late good friend to Sadie Roberts Joseph Excessive College.

Roberts-Joseph was discovered within the truck of her automobile July 12, 2019. Considered one of her tenants, Ronn Bell, has been arrested in connection to her demise.
